In moving a distance of 440 m, a cycle wheel makes 1000
revolutions. Find the diameter of the wheel.

Given :-    Distance travelled = 440 m Number of revolutions = 1000      To find :-   The diameter of the wheel      Proof :-    Now, we know that   {Number\:of\:revolutions\:=\:\dfrac{Distance}{Circumference}}   -» 1000 = {\dfrac{440}{2pi r}  -» 1000 = {\dfrac{220}{pi r}  -» ∏ r = 0.22  -» r = 0.7 m  -» r = 70 cm  -» Diameter = 140 cm
