In Mrs. Chen's class, 8 basic yearbooks and 1 deluxe yearbook were ordered, for a total of $680. The students in Mr. Cline's class ordered 13 basic yearbooks and 1 deluxe yearbook, for a total of $1,045. How much does each option cost?

that's simple u got 2 cases form equations and solve them

let basic one's be b and deluxe ones be d

atq , case1 8b+ d= 680

case ll 13 b + d = 1045

substracting the two we get

5b = 365

b= 73(price of 1 basic yearbook)

using value of b in case I

8(73) + d = 680

584 + d = 680

d = 96(price of 1 Deluxe yearbook)
