Dear Sir,
In Mumbai, the ardent rainfall every year brings the common mans life to a halt. His daily wage is brought to an end not only by the rains but also due to today"s government inefficiency.
80% of our rainfall pours over within a few short weeks which creates flooding and misery everywhere it goes. Families are displaced, homes are flooded and many areas especially the railway flood due to the lack of open spaces. The incessant urbanization due to corrupt officials blindly allow builders this city into a deathly urban jungle. All these factors majorly affect the life of the common man in a derogatory way. The government instead of increasing the number of trees or marshy areas in order to reduce the flooding, make it worse due to urbanization.
I hope that an article can be published to increase public awareness to this disaster.
