In my chemistry book it is written that sulphur powder is not a compound but iron powder is a compound.....but i think that iron and sulphur are elements whether they are powdered or not.........pleaase help....

Actually iron which we use in daily life is not a pure element it is also compound of carbon which makes it stronger otherwise iron is very soft like candle
