In nature, Aluminium is found in the form of compounds while gold is found in free state why?​

Aluminium is found in the form of compounds while gold is found in free state because of the relative positions of the metals in the reactivity series. Aluminium is more reactive metal as it is placed above hydrogen in the reactivity series. Therefore, it forms compounds. Gold is placed much below hydrogen in the reactivity series. It is very little reactivity and occurs in the free state also called native state.

Aluminum is a reactive element . So, it react with the elements present around it and make a compound

Gold is least reactive element it even don't react at high temperature. So it found in free state
