Let the ratio be x

then income of officer = 5x

and income of clerk = 3x

According to question,

(5x) × 3/100 + (3x) × 2/100 = 210

15x/100 + 6x/100 = 210

21x/100 = 210

21x = 21000

x = 1000

Hence income of clerk = 3x

= 3 × 1000

= 3000
