74 pouches each of 200 ml of oil can be prepared from the remaining  oil

Solution:

Given that,

In one day, 50 ml of oil per hour leaked from a tin containing 16 litres of oil

Therefore,

Rate of leak = 50 ml per hour

Find the amount leaked in 1 day

1 day = 24 hours

Rate of leak in 1 day = 50 x 24 = 1200 ml

Tin contains = 16 liters of oil

1 liter = 1000 ml

16 liters = 16000 ml

Remaining oil = 16000 ml - 1200 ml = 14800 ml

How many pouches each of 200 ml of oil can be prepared from the remaining  oil ?

\text{ Number of pouches } = \frac{ \text{ remaining oil }}{200}\\\\\text{ Number of pouches } = \frac{ 14800}{200} = 74

Thus 74 pouches can be made
