Against the stream = Upstream speed = 5 km/hr
Let speed of boat in still water be 'x' & speed of stream be 'y'
Downstream speed = x+y
Upstream speed = x-y
x + y = 11
x - y = 5
Adding:
2x = 16
x = 8 km/hr
Hence speed of boat in still water = 8 km/hr
