In one of his experiments with pea plant Mendel observed that when a tall pea plant
was crossed with a dwarf pea plant , in the first generation F1 only tall plants appeared.
(a) What happens to the trait of dwarf plant in this case?
(b) When the F1 generation plants were self fertilized Mendel observed that in the
plants of second generation F2 both tall & dwarf plants were present. Why did this
happen explain briefly.
(c) Calculate the phenotypic & genotypic ratios obtained in F2 generation with the help of punett square.
