In one of the exercises to strengthen the wrist and fingers, a person squeezes and releases a soft rubber ball. Is the work done on the ball positive, negative or zero during compression? During expansion?

Answer ⇒ During the Compression, work done will be Positive. During the Expansion, work done will be Negative

Explanation ⇒ 
When the Person has squeezed the rubber ball during the exercises, the movement is in the direction of the compression. Hence, the work done will be positive. 

During the Expansion, Movement will be in the Opposite direction, Hence, the work done in the expansion is negative.
