In one pot , in a mixture of 56 litres the ratio of milk and water is 5 : 2 . How much water should be added to it so that the ratio of milk and water become 4 : 5 .​

then milk contain 4/(5+2)×56

= 4×8 = 32liter

water contain 4/7 ×56 = 28 liter

let x liter water added

then water will =(28+x)

if new ratio will 4:5

then 32/(28+x) = 4/5

or 32×5 = 4(28+x)

or. 160 = 112+4x

or 4x = 160-112

or x= 48/4 =12

12liter water should be added
