in the year 2003-2004, more bicycles were sold.
no.of cycles sold more than in 2003-2004 = difference b/w the sales in 2003 -2004 and 2002 -2003
⇒8,00100 - 743000 = 57,100 cycles

Given:

Number of bicycles  sold in the year 2002-2003=7,43,000

Number of bicycles  sold in the year 2003-2004=8,00,100

To find:

In which year  bicycles were sold and how many more.

Solution:

Number of bicycles  sold in the year 2002-2003=7,43,000

Number of bicycles  sold in the year 2003-2004=8,00,100

8>7

Therefore,

8,00,100> 7,43,000

Therefore, in 2003-2004 more bicycles were sold.

Difference between number of bicycles=8,00,100-7,43,000

Difference between number of bicycles=57100

Hence, 57100 bicycles were sold in 2003-2004  more than year 2002-2003.
