In order to carry out photosynthesis plants require 3 elements CO2, water, and sunlight
the sources for each of these are
CO2: from Atmosphere
H2O: from soil
Sunlight: from Sun

The product formed is glucose and dioxygen

parveshsaroha1977: CO2 from humans yes atmosphere is correct depends on the fertility of soil it should be fertile.
nov29112001p42zih: it doesn't matter of fertility for photosynthesis because the plant only needs water from soil for the process of photosynthesis

To carry out the process of photosynthesis, plant need following substances:

  1. Water : it get water from the soil transported by the xylem vascular bundle to the leafs.
  2. Carbon dioxide : it get carbon dioxide form atmosphere with the help of stomatal pores.
  3. Chlorophyll : this pigment is present in the chloroplast.
  4. Sunlight : this energy is provided by ultimate source of energy ,i.e, SUN
