To construct a triangle with given perimeter and two base angles restart the construction by drawing a line of length equal to:

  • The requirements for the construction are a ruler, protractor, and a compass.
  • First draw a line segment XY of length AB+BC+CA, that is given perimeter.
  • Using protractor construct <PXY which is equal to <B, from the point X with the first given angle.
  • Same as above step, construct <QYX which is equal to <C from the point Y with the other angle.
  • Construct a bisector using angles <PXY and <QYX, using the compass. Mark the point where constructor meets as A.
  • Construct the perpendicular bisector of AX and name it as LM.
  • Construct the perpendicular bisector of AY and name it as RS.
  • Let LM meet XY at E and RS meet XY at D.
  • Now join the points A and E and also A and D.
