The repeated reflection that result in the persistence of sound is called reverberation or the repeated bouncing back of sound is called reverbration .
to reduce reverberation in big halls
1) ceilings of big halls are covered so that sound after reflection reaches all corners of the hall.
2) sometime a curved soundboard may be placed behind the stage so that the sound , after reflecting from the sound board , spreads evenly across the width of the hall
