Given:

The radius of circular orbit 3R and 5R

The mass of earth M

The mass of satellite m

To find:

The work done by the body.

Solution:

The formula of potential energy

V= -GMm/r

Now the work done by the body

W= final potential energy - initial potential energy.

W=-GMm/5r-(-GMm/3r)

W=GMm/3r-GMm/5r

W=GMm/r(1/3-1/5)

W=2GMm/15r.

The work done is  2GMm/15r
