in order to study the relative activity of copper, silver, aluminium and iron and their salts copper sulphate, Aluminium Sulphate,ferric sulphate and silver nitrate were taken. the salts were dissolved in water separately in four beakers, small amounts of these solutions were taken in four test tubes and a strip of copper was dipped in each of these four test tubes. same was repeated for silver in another set of four test tubes,and likewise with aluminium and iron strips.
