The correct option is the option (B) Hughie gave the beggar some money

In this famous and heart-touching story, we find Hughie is a kind human being. He is in love with Laura. He wants to marry her but he does not have enough money. One day he visits his friend, Alan Trevor who is a painter and finds an old beggar who is standing as model for his new painting. Pitying him he gives him some money. In reality that beggar is a millionaire.

Impressed by Hughie's generosity he helps him financially to get married to Laura.
