Answer:

I think there is more co² in the exhaled air because Exhaled air is warmer and cleaner than inhaled air. Oxygen The percentage of Oxygen in exhaled air is less than in inhaled air because the body uses Oxygen for respiration Carbon Dioxide The percentage of carbon dioxide increases when exhaling as it is a product of respiration.

The reason for difference in quantity of carbon dioxide is given below-

Respiration refers to exchange of gases.

The process aims at taking in oxygen from atmosphere and releasing carbon dioxide into atmosphere.

Former process refers to inhalation, where oxygen is taken in higher amounts.

Latter process is exhalation, where carbon dioxide is released in higher amounts.

When oxygen enters the body, it binds to haemoglobin and is transferred to various parts of body for metabolic actions.

The carbon dioxide is released during various metabolic actions, which has to be released through exhaled air in order to prevent suffocation.
