Answer:

If it is given <C in the ques with <A

- the opposite angles in a parallelogram are equal

so ,

<A = <C

5x - 20 = 3x +40

2x = 60

x = 30°

so, <A = 5*30 - 20

= 150-20

= 130°

since ,

<A = < C

so , <C = 130°

If it is given <B in the ques with < A

- the sum of the co - interior adjacent angles is 180

so,

<A + <B = 180°

5x-20 + 3x +40 = 180

8x + 20 = 180

8x = 160

x = 20°

So,

<A = 5*20 - 20

100°

since , <A = <B

so, <B = 100°
