Let the area from the triangle formed from side AB=area formed from triangle formed from side AD.

Area formed from AB's triangle: (1/2)*6 cm*10 cm (Area of triangle is one-half bas times height).

Area=30 square cm

Solve for side AD

30=(1/2)*8 cm*AD

30=4*AD

30/4=AD or AD=7.5 cm

Thank you for asking this question. Here is your answer:

AB = 10 cm

DE = 7 cm

BF = 8 cm

Now the area of parallelogram  = base x corresponding height

AD x BF = AB x DE

AD x 7 =  10 x 9

AD = (10*7) / 9

AD = 70/9

= 7.7 cm
