Thank you for asking this question. Here is your answer:

AB = 10 cm

DE = 7 cm

BF = 8 cm

Now the area of parallelogram  = base x corresponding height

AD x BF = AB x DE

AD x 7 =  10 x 9

AD = (10*7) / 9

AD = 70/9

= 7.7 cm
