14

The value of AD is 12cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Parallelogram ABCD,AB=14cm,altitude corresponding to AB and BC is 6cm and 7cm

From figure,

Area of Parallelogram ABCD,

When AB as base and CE as height,

Area of Parallelogram ABCD=AB\times CE

                                                 =14\times 6

                                                 =84 cm^{2}

When BC as base and AF as height,

Area of Parallelogram ABCD=BC\times AF

                                                 =BC\times 7  cm^{2}

Area of Parallelogram ABCD are equal on both sides,

So,

BC\times 7=84

BC=\frac{84}{7}

AD=12cm (∵ BC=AD )

So, The value of AD is 12cm
