let angle B=x. Therefore angle A=3x.  Angle A + angle B=180.{ co-interior angles}.

x+3x=180.

4x=180

x=180/4

x=45

Angle A=x=45

Angke B=3x=3*45=135

Angle C=Angle A=45 {opposite angles of a //gm are equal}

Angle D=Angle B=135

AB=CD {OPPOSITE SIDES OF  A //gm are EQUAL}

5x-7=3x+1

5x-3x=1+7

2x=8

x=8/2

x=4

CD=3x+1=3*4+1=12+1=13
