In parallelogram ABCD, BC = 8 cm and
altitude AM = 18 cm are given, find altitude
AN, if CD = 16 cm.​

first find area of abcd

we know,

area of abcd = 8 * 18 = 144 cm²

also,

area abcd = 16 * AN

144 cm² = 16AN

Hence AN = 9 cm
