In a parallelogram we know that,

Diagonals are equal and cut each other equally

So, AC= BD

and AE = CE & BE =DE

Given ,

AE= 2x-16 & CE=6x

So, 2x-16 = 6x

=> -4x = 16

=> x = -4

AC = 2× CE= 2× (6x)

= 12x

Putting the value of x,

12× (-4)

= -48

P.S.-The value cannot be negative . Please do check your question first and the data provided.
