Given AB=8cm;BC=4cm

Distance from AB and BC is 3cm

Area of quadrilateral is given as base×height

8×3=24cm

2

Area is 24cm

2

Area of quadrilateral is given by base×height

24=4×height

Height=6cm

So the perpendicular distance is given by 6cm

Hope this helps you with what your doing! :)

Solution,

Given,

In a parallelogram ABCD,

AB= 12+x

BC= 8cm

DC= 22cm

AD= y+4

now,

AB=DC               {:. opposite side of parallelogram are equal}

or, 12+x= 22

:. x= 22-12

  = 10 cm

Then,

BC= AD           [opposite side of parallelogram are equal]

or, 8= y+4

:. y= 8-4 =4cm

Thus, (x,y) is(10 cm, 4 cm)
