1/2×6×12=48

(area of parallelogram)=base ×height

=AD×12=48

=AD=48÷12

We know that, Area of a parallelogram = Base × Corresponding altitude ∴ Area of parallelogram ABCD = AD × BN = AB × DM ⇒ AD × 5 = 8 × 4 ⇒ AD = 8× 4/58 = 6.4 cm
