in petroleum and natural gas deposits diagram , you can see the layer containing petroleum oil and gas is above that of water. why is it so​

petroleum is found between the two impervious rocks mixed with water. being lighter than water it floats on it. natural gets trapped between the petroleum and rock cap,thus both gets trapped above water.
