In photosynthesis, chlorophyll-containing cells of leaves, in the presence of sunlight use carbon dioxide and water to synthesis carbohydrates. During the process, oxygen is released. The simple carbohydrate ultimately gets converted into complex form to be stored within the plant.

Read the following paragraph and choose the correct option.

..…A….. energy is converted into ……..B……. energy during photosynthesis and is stored in plants. The presence of …..C……. in leaves indicates the occurrence of photosynthesis. This can be confirmed by performing the…….D…… test. Carbohydrates are used to synthesis other components of food. But …..E……. are nitrogenous substances which contain nitrogen.

(a) A- chemical, B- solar, C- glucose, D- Iodine, E- fats
(b) A- chemical, B- solar, C- starch, D- protein, E- fats
(c) A- solar, B- chemical, C- starch, D- Iodine, E- proteins
(d) A- solar, B- chemical, C- fats, D- Iodine, E- glucose

Answer:

'c' is the correct answer.

Explanation:

If you are asked this question in a competitive or school exam, then you can easily find the answer by applying some common sense like the solar energy is acquired first and than converted to chemical energy in photosynthesis.....and the options remains is the c and d.

But iodine is used for the test of starch....so simply answer is the c

But if you are asked to explain then byheart whole thing
