In Photosynthesis CO2 and H2O combine in presence of sunlight and chlorophyll to form carbohydrate and oxygen. No other product (s) is (are) formed. If one mole CO2 combine with one mole water to form carbohydrate and liberate one mole oxygen, how many grams of carbohydrate is formed? (at.mass of C = 12u, H = 1 u, O = 16u).

Answer:

mass of CO2 = 12+(16×2)= 44

mass of H2O= (2×1)+16= 18

so total mass of carbohydrates is

CO2+H2O=44+18= 62
