In places of hot climate the outer walls of the house are painted white as we know that the white colour reflects the rays of the sun, whereas darker colours absorb the heat rays. So if dark colours are painted, the outer walls will absorb the heat and the house will get warmer. On the other hand, houses with lighter or white colours will reflect heat.
