Fertilization is external in Pleurobrachia.

Pleurobrachia is a member of the Ctenophora phylum commonly known as sea gooseberry.

They are hermaphrodites and fertilization occurs externally i.e eggs and sperm are shed through their mouth in the seawater to spawn. In addition, spawning in Pleurobrachia takes place throughout their lifetime.
