Fire means you should be brave &ice means you should not move your body means you should keep your back straight.

In The poem Fire and Ice the poet meant by the words " if i had to perish twice" that if the world in which he is living had to die or destroy twice .

the poet says twice because they are two things by which the world could be destroyed are Fire (Desire and greed) and Ice(coldness or Hatred
