In this poem the poet says that nature has given man countless gifts for his use , but man does not appreciate for the gifts to him. This behaviour of man saddens the poet.

Answer:He feels sad about what man has made of Man. Each an every element respect the nature whereas human beings are destroying it by their illegal activities to satisfy their desire.. Human only value them by which we get when we pay for it but not the gifts of God that we get without paying for it. We don't value the nature's gifts to us. Whereas nature is our centre of our life. since, We are destroying the nature we are bringing destruction to our own lives. Hence the poet is sad.
