In ∆PQR,if PQ>pR and bisectors of angle Q and angle R intersect at S. show that SQ >SR.

In triangle POQ,

PQ is greater than PR

Angle PRQ will be greater than angle PQR since the angle opp to greater side is greater and smaller side is smaller

Multiplying ½ on both sides,

½ angle PRQ is greater than ½ angle PQR

Since SQ and SR are bisectors of angle Q and R respectively,

Angle SRQ is greater than SQR,

Since side opp to greater angle is greater, hence,

SQ is greater than SR
