  • QR is 26 cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

  • ∠P of ∆PQR is right angled.
  • PQ of ∆PQR is 10 cm.
  • PR of ∆PQR is 24 cm.

To find:-

  • Measure of QR.

Solution:-

By using Pythagoras theorem :

 \boxed{\sf \bold{\star \:Hypotenuse^{2} = Perpendicular^{2} + Base^{2}}}

Base = PQ = 10 cm.

Perpendicular = PR = 24 cm.

Hypotenuse = QR = ?

Put the values in Pythagoras theorem :

 \longrightarrow \sf QR^{2} = PR^{2} + PQ^{2}

 \longrightarrow \sf QR ^{2} = (24)^{2} + (10)^{2}

 \longrightarrow \sf QR^{2} = 576 + 100

 \longrightarrow \sf QR^{2} = 676

 \longrightarrow \sf QR =  \sqrt{676}

 \longrightarrow \sf \bold{QR = 26}

Therefore,

QR is 26 cm.
