In PQR, sides PQ and PR are equal. If P = 30 , then find the measure of Q.​

Given:

  • ∆PQR
  • P = 30°
  • PQ= PR

since, two sides of a ∆ are equal , It is an issoceles triangle.also,

  • Q= R ( opposite angles of equal sudes are equal)

To find:

  • Q = ?

Using ASP in ∆PQR,

P+Q+R= 180°

30°+ Q+ Q = 180° ( since, Q= R)

2Q= 180°-30°

2Q=150°

Q= 150°/2

Q=> 75°

Hence, the measure of Q is 75°.
