In present akhil's age is three times of nirmal's age.after three year akhil is four year older than nirmal.what will be the prsent age of akhil.

At present :

let Nirmal's age be x.

So, Akhil's age be 3x.

After 3 yrs :

Nirmal's age = x+3

Akhil's age= 3x + 3

according to question;

(3x+3) = (x+3) +4

or, 3x + 3 = x +3 +4=x +7

or, 3x - x = 4

or, 2x = 4

or, x = 2.

So, present age of Nirmal is 2yrs.

Hence present age of Akhil is 3×2= 6yrs.

After 3 years,

(3x + 3) = x + 3 + 4

3x + 3 = x + 3 + 4

3x - x = 4

2x =4

x = 4/2

x = 2
