Solution:
In the given quadrilateral ABCD, we know that ∠BAD = ∠ADC,∠ABD = BCD.
Now,
using sum of all the Sides of a quadrilateral
BC + CD + BD+ AB = 180°
30 + CD + 50 + 40 = 180°
120 + CD = 180
CD = 180 - 120
CD = 40
Therefore, the length of CD is 40cm.
