CORRECT QUESTION :-

  • in quadrilateral ABCD , ∠A = 38° , ∠C = 3∠A , ∠D = 4∠A , find the value of ∠B

GIVEN :-

  • ∠A = 38°

  • ∠C = 3∠A

  • ∠D = 4∠A

TO FIND :-

  • VALUE OF ∠B

SOLUTION :-

FINDING ANGLE C AND ANGLE D

 \implies \rm {  \bf \: \angle a=38 \degree }

 \implies \rm { \angle c =3 \angle a }

 \implies \rm { \angle c =3(38)}

 \implies \rm { \bf \angle c =114 \degree}

\implies \rm { \angle d =4 \angle a }

\implies \rm { \angle d =4 (38) }

\implies \rm { \bf \angle d =152 \degree }

now we know that

 \implies  \boxed{\rm{sum \: of \: angle \: of  \: quad = 360 \degree}}

\implies  \rm{ \angle a +  \angle b  +  \angle c +  \angle d= 360 \degree}

hence ,

\implies  \rm{ 38\degree +  \angle b  +  114\degree +  152\degree= 360 \degree}

\implies  \rm{ 304\degree +  \angle b  = 360 \degree}

\implies  \rm{   \angle b  = (360  - 304) \degree}

\implies  \boxed{ \boxed{ \rm{   \angle b  = 56 \degree}}}

OTHER INFORMATION :-

WHAT IS QUADRILATERAL ?

  • A four-sided polygon along with two dimensions is known as Quadrilateral. A Quadrilateral can be convex or conclave based on their dimensions. If Dimensions are inside the borderline of polygon than it will be termed as a convex quadrilateral. Based on the sides, and angle there are the following six types of convex Quadrilaterals.

TYPES OF QUADRILATERAL :-

  • Parallelogram

  • Rectangle

  • Square

  • Rhombus

  • Trapezium

  • Kite

But before elaborating the properties of the above quadrilateral we will go through a few common properties of quadrilateral that will be visible in every type of quadrilaterals-

  • Every quadrilateral has four sides.

  • Every quadrilateral consist of four corners or vertex

  • The interior angle of quadrilateral adds up to 360° in every quadrilateral.
