hey mate!
Rama was the main character of Ramayana! he is the hero of the Ramayana epic, an incarnation of the God Vishnu. The eldest and favourite son of Dasaratha, King of Ayodhya, he is a virtuous prince and is much loved by the people. He is exiled from Ayodhya due to the plotting of his stepmother, Kaikeyi.
Rama (or Ramacandra) is the seventh avatar of the Hindu god Vishnu. His adventures, notably the slaying of the demon king Ravana, are recounted in the Vana Parva of the Mahabharata and in the Ramayana, the oldest Sanskrit epic, written sometime in the 5th century BCE but with some later addition.
Rama saved Sita (his wife; Avtar of Laxmi) from Ravan as Ravan has taken her to Lanka as he kidnapped her! so, to save Sita, Rama killed Ravan, we celebrate this day as dusherah ! and when after he got back to his kingdom, we celebrate diwali on occasion of coming lord Rama back!
We can say his age is infinite because he was the Avtar (incarnation) of Lord Vishnu. And incarnations don't die. They disappear so death is a wrong word for him. And according to Valmiki (Ramayanas Author), Lord Rama lived atleast 11000 years.
