It depends on the concentration of theammonia. Initially the ammonia willreact with water to produceammonium ions and hydroxide ions. While this is happening, copperhydroxide will precipitate out of solution, leaving ammonium sulfate in solution. During this stage, you'll see a slimy light blue precipitate
