In ∆ ABC ,

AB = 20 cm (Given)

Tan Angle BAC = BC/AB

Angle BAC = 60° (Given)

Tan 60° = BC/20

√3 = BC/20

BC = 20√3

The required value of BC = 20√3 cm.

Additional Data :

Sin ∅ = Perpendicular/Hypotenuse

Cos ∅ = Base/Hypotenuse

Tan ∅ = Perpendicular/Base

Cot ∅ = Base/Perpendicular

Sec ∅ = Hypotenuse / Base

Cosec ∅ = Hypotenuse / Perpendicular
