In a rectangle, both lengths are same and both breadths are also same.

So, AB=8 cm=DC

AD=5 cm=BC

So,

Area of triangle:

 \frac{1}{2}   \times base \times height

 \frac{1}{2}  \times 8 \times 5 \\ 20 \: {cm}^{2}

Answer:

Length= 8cm

Breadth= 5cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of ∆ = ½ × base × height

= ½ × 5 × 8

=½ × 40

= 20cm²

So, the area of triangle ABC is 20cm²
