I belive in making choices that are less risky. we should be very careful in making our decision as it can affect are future. By not taking risk you can avoid serious mistakes that you will regret in future like the author regrets making that decision. by taking the other road , there has been a huge difference in his life.to be on the safer side you should not take much risk. the poet would have more happier and comfortable life if he had chosen the first road. risk is not always good. If you want a safe and good life you should elude risk .

I hope this is helpful.
