In such a case.. the entry will be:
Cash a/c. Dr. ₹
or
Bank a/c. Dr. ₹
To Rent receivable a/c. ₹

because here is given rent receivable.. so in the case of rent recieved cash or cheque is entered in our firm thatswhy.. rent receivable a/c will be debited..
