An agreement was reached between Israel and Egypt on September the 17th, 1978, known as the Camp David Accords, which were followed by a peace treaty, the following year between these two countries on March the 23rd.

Harbored by the then U.S. President, Jimmy Carter, the Israeli Prime Minister Menachem and the Egyptian Premiere Anwar Sadat, this was known as the “Framework for Peace in the Middle-East” and officially knows as the Camp David Accords, because that is where they took place.

The two premieres of Egypt and Israel were given the Nobel Peace Prize in 78’ for their work towards peace.
