bd is perpendicular to ac

abc is similar to adb

ab/ad=ac/ab

ab² = ad×ac (beacuse ac=ad+cd = 4+9=13)

ab²=4×13

ab²=52

ab=√52

ab=2√13

ab²=ad²+bd²

(2√13)²=4²+bd²

16+bd²=52

bd²=52-16

bd²=36

bd=6
