In Rohan's garden, there are 7 rose plants and 5 cypress plants. Rohan bought 3 more rose plants. Using associate property of addition determine two different ways to calculate the total number of plants in the garden.​

Answer:

1st way-

No. of rose plants= 7

No. of cypress plants= 5

No. of plants bought by Rohan= 3

Therefore no. of plants in the garden= 7+5+3

                                                               = (7+5)+3

                                                               = 12+3

                                                               = 15

Ans:- The total no. of plants in Rohan's garden is 15.

2nd way-

No. of rose plants= 7

No. of cypress plants= 5

No. of plants bought by Rohan= 3

Therefore no. of plants in the garden= 7+5+3

                                                                = 7+(5+3)

                                                                = 7+8

                                                                = 15

Ans:- The total no. of plants in Rohan's garden is 15.
